what im doin these days

what do i do when im out of college?

cooking- everyone that knows me knows i love to eat and ive started cookin a lot more and actually enjoy it.

scrapbooking- i am ALMOST caught up, which makes me really excited. in about a month maybe two i should be completely caught up.

sewing/quilting- i finally finished my first quilt that i started at quilt camp. im started another one which is a cardinals quilt. then i have the fabric picked out of another one i just gotta chose the pattern.

painting- i painted the cardinals logo and it turned out really good. its framed in my room. i need to go get some paintbrushes cuz i have a canvas that i started drawing the st louis city.

fencing- im gonna take this class in january. fencing is on my bucket list, so i figure i might as well get crackin on it.

guitar/drums- so i realized that i wanna learn one of these. haha also on my bucket list. my friend and i went to a couple of stores a few days ago and were looking at some. i will prolly go for a guitar, cuz drums are so expensive. but let me tell you we went to best buy and played the drums there. it was the coolest thing ever.

my new hobby

ridin my bike! i didnt think i liked to exercise either, but its so much fun especially when you have a goal and a friend that goes with you. but yeah my friend and i a few times a week. and i think i actually like exercisin cuz this time i have a goal, so its different. im tryin to get up to 20 miles by next sat for our bike ride.

and man i went tonite and am so tired, but i found out i just did 11 miles. so thats prolly why im so tired. haha im gonna be dead on sat.

Rest of my summer!!!

ok so heres the rest of my summer. people keep askin me if i miss utah....haha. and the answer is no. i love it here and here are a few reasons...

jet skiin!!!! i had never done it before and im so glad I went a couple times this summer. They are so fun to drive. I was makin all these donuts and just goin crazy. i didnt tip over tho which was good.

and ok so we hooked up a tube to tha jet ski. and i keep telling them to go faster, faster, and faster. and then i felt my short fell off and then tha bottom piece of my swimsuit was down to my ankles so i let go of tha tube and hurried to pull my swimsuit up. i got my shorts back tho dont worry....they float :)

and what we did while we were waitin.....paintballin haha. it was pretty sweet. and i dont know why tha first pic is like that and im too lazy to redo it. and our target.

last weekend, my friend and i went to tha cardinals and right before was photo day and i got pics with skip schumaker and colby rasmus. i was so excited.

johnsons shut in!!!! i love it there. cliff jumping and waterfalls.

takin some of my nephews to tha park to feed tha ducks. we actually went twice that day. we went once and then back later that nite cuz they wanted to feed them again. there were a TON of ducks tho. it was crazy. haha

yeah it was pretty random. so we had our clothes on, but trust me its tha coolest feeling ever. i loved swimming in my jeans. haha

summer in stl so far

ok so i know i havent written in this forever. but i made a list of the top ten things ive done so far in stl. tha first two are in order, but after that...i couldnt decide. haha


1. goin to tha home run derby- at first i wasnt gonna go cuz tha tickets were so expensive but the night before i realized how bad i wanted to go so i called one of my friends and she said she would go. i am so glad we went. it was SO fun and amazing. i love cardinal fans, they made it so fun. when pujulos was up. they went crazy. david cook sang and in it too.






2. fanfest- every year whereva tha home run derby and all star is they have a fanfest. its basically a baseball fans heaven. they had so much to do and see. they had gold gloves and trophies from the world series in 2006 and etc.









3. rascal flatts concert- i hate country except rascal flatts. they have so many good songs. well basically every song is good. there concert was amazing. it kinda sucked that they have so many good songs tho, cuz then they couldnt sing all of them.

4. riding from tha fanfest to tha FREE sheryl crow concert in a bike buggie. it was seriously tha funniest thing ever. going downtown in it. haha






5.ted drews- only tha best ice cream eva. everytime you go its always packed and tha lines are in the street. and i always get the same thing vanilla ice cream with hot fudge, red raspberries, and nuts

6. lake of tha ozarks/quilt camp- so im not gonna lie tha only reason i went to quilt camp was cuz it was at tha ozarks and i figured i would just go to tha lake everyday to canoe or whatever. but i didnt even touch tha water. kinda disappointin, but i did make a quilt (most of it) over a weekend. and for me thats pretty impressive. cuz i did not like sewin before. and im currently workin on my second quilt. dont worry its cardinals :








7. family reunion up in utah at my grandparents cabin- i love bein in tha mountains. it is so peaceful and relaxing. and im neva with my bros and sista too much so its cool to see them and all tha rest of the fam. i loved goin 4 wheelin, we went to cedar breaks (so pretty), beat my bro at rook, and my dad and other bro at basketball. not to brag tho :)

8. just bein able to finally do whatever i want. i am able to read tha books i want, instead of school books. i just finished my sisters keeper and bought time travellers wife yesterday

9. then goin to other cardinal games, tha zoo, botantical gardens, and everything else in st. louis

10. oh i finally have a good camera. i love it. it takes way good pics. im excited to finally have a good camera that i really like.

kid quotes!!!

So when I was up at Cedar. I worked at Learning Ladder and I loved it. I told my boss that we should make a kids quote wall so here are some of them.

Right after Easter the kids were talking about what they got for Easter. Then one of the kids asked me what I got for Easter. I told them that the Easter Bunny didnt come, because I was getting too old. Then a 4 year old, said that I wasnt old because I didnt have bumps or lines on my face.

When I could barely walk up the stairs (cuz i had exercised the night before) I told one of the boys I was getting old. He said, I know. And of course he had to say it all matter of factly. and yeah its the same boy that told me I wasnt old before. haha

When I was having a crappy day at work, a 4 year old boy, came up to me and told me I was beautiful, then ran off.

After one of the girls went to the bathroom, she came back in class and said, I forgot my skirt! Good thing she was wearing legging. -age 4

After one of the boys finally got his jacket on one of the hooks he said, I finally got a hooker!- age 4

One of the girls told me I look like chocolate- age 2


I asked a boy why his puppet only had one eye. He said its a pirate. -age 4

givin back to the neighbors

ok so yesterday my mom was tellin me and my dad that our neighbors behind us have a dog and he pooped in our yard.  our neighbor saw the dog do it and didn't care, even when he knew that my mom was right there and saw.  he didnt say he was sorry or that he would come back and clean it.  nothin. 

so i was sayin that i should just go poop in their yard, but then i had an even better idea.  i went in the garage and got a shovel and picked it up and threw it on their yard.  i thought it was pretty funny.  

then when i was walkin back to the house, my dad said somethin to me.  i dont really remember what he said.  but my dad thought it was funny too.  i just told him that i was givin it back to them.  haha 

zions!!!!

ok so i went to zions with my friend tiffany and her roommates. i hadnt ever been there before. and it was amazing. its kinda expensive though- 25 dollars just to get in. you can go to mcdonalds and get 24 double cheeseburgers for that price.

but anyways we went to the zions overlook and to weeping rock. the mountains were so beautiful. i loved it cuz the weather was perfect. it wasnt too hot, so i could still breath at the end of the hike. cuz anyone that knows me knows that i am not in shape. people may think i am, but trust me im not. and im pretty sure im gonna go again for my family reunion, so im excited to go back

laser tag and golf!

so a couple of weekends ago my white friend Megan and I went down to st. george. but before we left for our lil trip my friend got hit on at tha gas station. im sure he would of hit on me, if he had seen me. but my friend was inside lookin for me, while i was in the car so he hit on her. then once we got to st. george- we hit up the mall- which is really only about 5 stores.

then we went to laser mania and played laser tag, which was way fun but we got killed even though we were playin with a bunch of 13 year olds. and one of the guys that was older prolly like in his 20s started hittin on me. and megan was there right beside me and he didnt hit on her, so obviously im the cute one. he was askin me if i killed anyone, how many points i got, and all these questions that i didnt have time to for.

after laser tag we played glow in the dark golf. that was way fun and we took pictures the whole time.

and after that i realized im a professional golfer so we hit up the driving range a week ago. i could barely even hit the ball and it was embrassing cuz i felt like everyone was watching me. but once i got the hang of it, i hit the ball about 100 feet which is okay for my first time. while we were golfin one of the parents of my work came over and asked me if i golf. i told him that it was my first time golfin. then he asked me if i knew who he was and my friend megan wanted me to say no. haha white people can be so mean sometimes.

LA all tha way

so for spring break i went to LA, which was so much fun!! we left wednesday night and got there way early in the mornin then came back on sunday. i didn't really get into the water though, because it was cloudy and cold.

but on thrusday anne and i rented a two seater bike and rode along the beach as we got hit on by every guy, which isnt unusal for me, but maybe for anne. we went to vince beach and kinda like a swap meet right next to it. so we rode down there almost killing ourselves cuz it is so hard to steer with two people or maybe cuz im fat....i dont know. haha

then later that night we went down the walk of fame, which was pretty cool, but i wanted to see tupacs name. and never found him. i hope he has one. and i know i looked like a tourist cuz i was staring down at the stars the whole time looking at the peoples names.

then on friday we went to another beach, which i forgot tha name of it. but it was a private beach basically. it was so pretty though. and we saw dolphins swimming way close to us. i like the beachs in la a lot more than in san diego. there not as dirty and the water is clearer. oh yeah and of course me and sarah skinny dipped in the freezing cold water in the middle of the day. haha

on saturday becky and i got ripped off from our cab driver. he didn't have a meter in his car, so we didnt know how much he was going to charge. and we didn't go that far and he charged us 40 bucks. ive been in a cab before and it should of only been like 20 dollars. at least we got to see the hollywood sign. then we went downtown to go shopping. we were gonna go to compton, but from the metro that was so confusing. we would of had to get on a metro, then get off and get onto another one then get on another one. and you all know me we would of gotten lost. so we didn't go.

we were able to see a protest tho downtown, which was exciting. i had never seen one before and it was crazy. all these people were walking downtown and had signs that said f the war and obama. it was fun to watch.

then that night my friend from la came and picked me, sarah, and becky up and took us on a tour of la. we went to beverly hills and got to see the house from fresh prince of bel-air!! that was tight. and we went to the gate of where britney spears and nicholas cage live. man why do rich people have to be in a gated community. haha we wanted to stalk them.

then she took us to rodeo drive and then i told her that i wanted to go eat at a good LA place, so we went to pink tacos. that was delicious, we all went all out cuz it was the last night. i got churros for desert and it came with caramel and chocolate sauce. it was so good!!!

then we went back to her place and a bunch of people were over roasting marshmellows, we were gonna go to the beach and have a bonfire but couldn't cuz all the pits were full. but i did a ride on a motorcyle with this guy who took me around town. so that was cool.

la, ca

this week is spring break, even though im not really in school cuz im only taking one class and its online. but i talked to my work and im takin thrusday and friday off. so a bunch of us are gonna go to la!!! im excited. i've been to san diego a thousand times, but never la. and i just realized last night that i have a friend down there so she's gonna be my tour guide. haha

im gonna go to the beach, and do some shopping, go to walk of fame and just whatever i want. and if you have any suggestions, let me know!

okinawa, japan!!!!

ok so i've decided to go home for the summer. im not sure where im workin yet. haha i need to start applyin to some places or i can just work at tha ymca for the summer again.

but my mom had tha best idea in the world. she told me i should work in okinawa, japan!!! i cant believe i hadn't ever thought of that before. and my best friend lives in tokyo so i talked to her to move to okinawa with me so i would have a roommate. and thats where sam and jaana are and the beach!!!!!

im so excited. i've been lookin at jobs to work on base and they have a ton of opening in a bunch of the air force bases at the child development center, which is where i want to work. and since it would be on base i wouldnt need to know japanese.

it might suck that i wouldnt have a car though and that i dont know tha japanese language. but at least my friend would and she can just translate for me. haha

i sure hope this all works out and if not at least ill get to go to tokyo and okinawa. because for sure im gonna go whether i work there or not cuz my mom and i are getting tickets from my uncle cuz he works with delta airlines. but delta doesn't go to tokyo but delta just bought northwest who did. so we just gotta wait till delta can get it passed and then its only 400 bucks to go to toyko.

i am thinkin bout goin either in august or september so i can save up some money. cuz rent is gonna suck. its expensive, but at least i can go to the beach everyday!!!

and this is perfect cuz forever ago i was tellin my mom that i didn't wanna get married till i graduate college and go to japan. i dont think she really believed me, cuz she always asks me when im going to. but now that graduating in may and then this year im goin to japan, maybe ill start looking. haha :) i just want to travel and so some things for myself and have fun before i get trapped into marriage for the rest of my life. i mean i want to travel with friends and stuff, cuz once i get married im gonna have to take him with me or ill have kids and i cant go. it just seems like marriage is gonna ruin my life. haha sorry for all of you that are married.

my life after i graduate

so i've been thinking of where to live after i graduate and i made a list last night of my options of where i could go.
And all of these places i know people
-memphis
-louisana (if i went there i actually already have a room in a way nice apt)
-st. louis
-stay in cedar city
-provo (i guess, a couple of people want me to move there, but i dont know bout all that)

so in a month or two ill see what jobs are available in those areas and apply and will see what happens.

free denny's today!!!

so during the superbowl, denny's had a commerical about getting the grand slam for free today. and today my friends and i werent sure if they were really gonna do it and we called before we went to make sure. haha as we were driving we didn't think anybody would be there, but then we saw the line and it went out the door and around the building. we waited for an hour, but the food was good!!! i just hope im not sick tomorrow. and annie said right before we started eating that what if this is another terrorist attack, it would kill everyone in america. i thought that was pretty funny.

my first blog and graduation

Alright so Allison (my fav sister) told me I should get a blog forever ago, but I never wrote in it. So when I was in Vegas this past weekend, Lenzi helped me with it so will see if I start writing in it now. Right now I'm trying to get over my cold that I've had already for the second time this year.

But on Tuesday I found out that President Monson is going to be speaking at my graduation in May so I guess Im going to go now. I didn't really want to walk, graduations take forever, but now Im going to go and I'm excited to go. And I wonder if he remembers me. I mean I did shake his hand, but that was four years ago I think.
